'Satisfy us early with thy mercy'

Posted

Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants. O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil. Psalm 90:13-15

With Moses, we ask the LORD God to return to us and satisfy us early with His mercy in Christ Jesus that we might rejoice and be glad because of His mercy and forgiveness all the days of our lives. We ask that He make us glad for as many days as He has afflicted us because of our sin and as many years as we have seen evil under God’s curse upon sin.

O Lord, have mercy upon us and forgive our sins for the sake of Christ Jesus and His blood shed for us on the cross. Grant to us joy in Your mercy all the days of our lives and gives us joy in the place of sadness and sorrow. Amen.
