'I also will laugh at your calamity'

Posted

Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; but ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; when your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Proverbs 1:24-27

Those who reject and mock at the true wisdom which God reveals in His Word will have the tables turned when they receive the fruits of their foolishness and their lives are in ruins. Those who refuse to repent of their sinful ways and look in faith to Christ and His cross for pardon and forgiveness will suffer the eternal consequences of their sin and spurning of the truth.

Grant that I both hear and heed Your Word, O LORD, repent of my sins and look to Christ for forgiveness and the strength to amend my ways. Amen.

[Scripture is quoted from the Ling James Version of the Bible.]
